STARS

We are a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging and empowering students in crystal-growing, crystallography, and structural biology.

We provide students with hands-on wet-lab experience and expose them to structure-based therapeutic drug design research ideas.

​

Our vision is to share with all students the importance of structural biology for therapeutic drug discovery and provide students with the opportunity to experience and explore what research is like.

​

In the last three years, we have organized over 11 different events, such as crystallography workshops, summer camps, crystal-growing competitions, and skills-building sessions, with over 350+ student participants cumulatively.​

​

This past summer, we raised over $800 at the 2024 American Crystallographic Association (ACA) conference from corporations and conference attendees to support our next initiatives in the spring 2025 semester.

​We aim to inspire and strengthen the next generation of scientists in structural biology, medicinal chemistry, and therapeutic drug design.​​
